Hardware Designer / Team Lead (Hyd Event, Job Location- Pune)

    Position: Hardware Design Engineer

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Investigates, troubleshoots and solves Customer / field support issues including failure analysis of products returned from the field.
    Investigates and troubleshoots Manufacturing issues. 
    Assist the Component Engineering Group with component second sourcing activities.
    Fabricate test and programming jigs for product development use.
    Perform detailed analysis on competitors products, including performance analysis and product BOM cost estimation.
    Work on and/or assist other Hardware Team members on hardware design as well as hardware verification testing which could involve analog, digital or RF circuits
    Assists with system level testing 
    Executes testing on prototypes and collects data for analysis. 
    Work closely with members of cross-functional teams (analog, digital, RF, Mechanical, PCB Layout, Software, PV&V)

    Requirements

    BE (ECE/EIE/ETC) Degree
    7+ years of experience within a hardware development environment
    Mentor & lead a team of cross-functional junior designers
    Extensive design experience with ARM 32-bit microcontroller (M3, M4 or M0 core) and knowledge on ST micro family experience
    Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators, spectrum analyzer, and similar test apparatus, and may program and operate computer automated test stations.
    Working knowledge of industry standard tools such as Altium schematic capture
    Experience working on products designed for high volume manufacturing
    Experience designing and troubleshooting high density boards that incorporate microcontrollers, mixed analog and digital circuits and peripherals such as Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, telco etc.
    Experience working on boards that incorporate RF circuits and antennas
    Analog design experience with discrete circuitry (transistors, MOSFET, OpAmp, filters) and Power supply
    Conduct debugging, validation, failure analysis, EMI/EMC troubleshooting
    Design exposure to WiFi, RFID, Telco, RF technologies such as Zigbee are bonuses
    Capacity to work to tight deadlines with high efficiency
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Summary
As part of the strategic initiative, Global Technical Services (GTS) organisation has been established in AECOM India to provide a wide range of technical services to other parts of AECOM offices around the world. Job Summary:
Produce accurate 2D documentation and robust building information models (BIM) on a project basis with limited team management tasks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the CADD Manager.
  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline model information, presentation, and coordination.
