Job Title: Analyst, Corporate Strategy

EA's Corporate Strategy team is looking for a Hyderabad-based Analyst to join the team to specialize in building its quantitative tools and analysis. The Analyst role will track data sources around the gaming industry and contribute to market analysis reports that are used by EA's executives to make strategic decisions. This data and analysis will be used across the entire organization to aid in strategic planning, game development, sales and marketing, and planning. You will work directly with the Corporate Strategy team in California but will report into a Finance Manager based in Hyderabad.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Data Collection: Use Python and SQL to collect, clean, and integrate games industry market data from a variety of online sources
Database Management: Manage SQL databases, ensuring data consistency and accuracy for Corporate Strategy’s market intelligence tools
Analysis: Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly market/analysis reports that are set to senior leaders across EA worldwide
Tool Creation: Identify new tools that could be created to improve access to the teams data-sets and improve the analysis of the data
Ad Hoc Projects: Support to the U.S. and Singapore-based Corporate Strategy team members as needed with ad-hoc requests
Skills

3+ years of work experience in the entertainment, technology, consulting, or finance sector
Interest in the video game and entertainment industries
Experience managing large data-sets and deriving insights
Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and VBA is required. Proficiency in Tableau or R is a plus.
Expertise with tools for web crawling, extracting, and processing data (e.g., Beautiful Soup, Selenium, pandas) is required
Fluent in spoken and written English
Flexible in working hours to accommodate US working time

Role Overview
We – Slingshot Games Studio @Electronic Arts – are looking for a talented and driven person that is passionate about developing software systems for games with millions of users. We are looking for an experienced server software engineer for developing services to support the live operations and online gameplay for our titles.
You will be working in small teams that work closely together to create solutions for game requirements using modern technologies and frameworks deployed to cloud based infrastructure. You will also be working with many existing systems; some developed at Slingshot, some developed externally.

What a Server Engineer does at Slingshot Games Studio
Architect & Develop distributed, resilient and high-performing back-end services, built on top of GAE/AWS cloud platforms
Work with a team of Server Engineers to manage & develop server side stacks supporting games which engage millions of connected online players
Collaborate closely with the cross functional game development teams to execute on the roadmap/vision of our games
Adapt central EA technologies to meet game designs requirements from the game development teams, such as matchmaking
Be responsible for performance testing at the server level and load testing at the service level
Ability to estimate work and provide accurate updates on progress
Creative approach to problem solving
Passion for delivery of quality software to Criterion’s high standards

Requirements
Experience of architecting and developing large distributed, scalable, robust, high-performing systems
6+ years of professional programming experience and good understanding of software design principles
Strong knowledge of PHP, Java
Excellent experience with cloud deployment & management on AWS cloud services
Docker, Opsworks, DynamoDB, Chef, CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, S3, Auto Scaling, etc.
Highly fluent with Git, or similar distributed source management system with a good grasp of branch/release management, rollback strategies and other best practices
Experience with continuous integration and delivery
Good communication and documentation experience
Proficient in written and spoken English

Job description:
Responsible for collection of receivables, incoming deductions, cash forecasting, credit memos, claims and disputes settlement.
Responsible for research to verify the validity of deductions for assigned customers are resolved within TAT.
Responsible for the delivery of SLA/KPI targets for the accounting function.
To carry out the month end close processes in a timely and accurate manner
Represent EA in a professional manner by maintaining and enhancing a positive business relationship with customers, sales, credit control, distribution centre and external partners such as carriers (e.g. DHL, FedEx, and UPS).
Analyzing customer’s payment trend to forecast collection for the fiscal month
Reconcile customer accounts and maintain an up-to-date statement of accounts.
Resolve carrier related issues on a timely basis and provide & organize backup data to support claims & bill backs.
Communicate customers the status of open deductions, including requests for repayment of invalid deductions
Provide backup support for team member in their absence.
Should be willing to take up additional activity as and when directed by Manager.


Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce (2017 / 18 Pass-out)
MS Office, especially MS Excel.
Excellent verbal & written English communication
Willingness to be flexible with working hours.
