Taxation Officer

Job Title- Taxation Officer 

Functional-  Accounting / Tax / Company Secretary Audit 

Location- Bangalore

• Regional Commercial and Finance Managers, Head Taxation, Shared Service Centre, HR and various other departments

Position overview:

•  Tbe able tindependently handle entire compliance of Withholding tax and Service Tax

Scope of the job ?

•  Job mostly involves working from Corporate office at Bangalore. It may require occasional travel tregions and factories 
•  Incumbent should be able tmeet Statutory and Internal deadlines
• Working Relationships
•  Reports to: Manager Taxation for Service tax and Manager-Direct Tax for TDS 
• Direct Reports: Outsourced resource
• Peer Relationships-Finance Department

Key Responsibilities

• Hands on experience in handling various Statutory Compliance in a Head office set up, supporting various factories and regions especially in:- 
• distributing Service tax as Input Service Distributor (ISD) set up
• calculation and payment of Service Tax under reverse charge mechanism, 
• calculation and payment of TDS
• filing TDS and Service Tax returns and reconciliation of tax balance between books and returns
• checking TDS status in TRACES and resolving the gaps 
• sole custodian of all documents generated and controlled at Corporate office pertaining tTDS and Service Tax matters
• ensuring internal control and adherence tCharter of Authority
• supporting on Statutory and Internal Audit requirements for TDS and Service Tax 
• accounting for payment tconsultants and tax provisions .
• liaise with various factory locations and regions on Tax MIS, ISD invoice, reversals etc
• drafting reply tnotices or enquiries from TDS and Service tax departments independently
• Tax support in Purchase order tPayment(P2P) cycle from TDS and Service tax perspective

Qualifications B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter/CWA Inter.

• Post qualification experience 5 t8 years in handling tax compliance either in consultancy or in manufacturing based Companies in 
• end tend TDS & Service tax compliance 
• Service tax and TDS Audit and assessments
• IT skills (a) Should be able tcompile data from SAP and pass entries (b) Should have sound working knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point
