Core Compete is looking for an Application Support Engineers with data background and cloud experience. The hire will be responsible for debugging, troubleshooting and supporting data pipelines on the cloud, optimizing and improving application performances. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline support engineer who enjoys contributing on supporting data platforms. The ideal candidate is self-directed and is a quick learner.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Debugging and troubleshooting of issues pertaining to big data and analytics solutions deployed in public cloud and on-prem environments
Identity application performance improvement opportunities and collaborate with Engineering teams to make improvements
Support the data pipelines from ingestion to reporting layers and act as a escalation contact to resolve any issues during the daily/weekly/monthly job executions
Maintain optimal data pipelines on cloud
Assist in the development of reusable code and accelerators development
Training and mentoring other members in the team
Open to learn new technologies in a short duration

Required Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience
Advanced SQL knowledge and experience of working with a variety of databases
Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, NoSQL databases
Familiarity with AWS/GCP cloud deployment models
Self-starter, challenger and analytical thinker
Experience on working in cloud data migration projects
Working experience in one of the cloud platform GCP/AWS/Azure is must
Working experience with Big Query/ Snowflake/Redshift (at least one of them)
Experience of developing data pipelines using tools such as Spark, Python, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory
Dynamic who demonstrates a very positive attitude
Strong Analytical and Communication Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
