About the role
The SE/SSE/ATS/TS role sits within the Development/Maintenance/Support department of Bravura Solutions (India) Limited. The job holder is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the GFAS transfer agency product.
Main activities
Development and coding capability using ISeries/AS/400 technologies
Analyse technical and functional issues reported by clients
Writing technical specifications and design solutions
Develop high quality code meeting Bravura development standards to resolve the issues
Undertake unit and integration testing and provide User acceptance testing support
Providing technical and implementation support
Liaise with customers to understand the problems, provide solutions or workarounds and at times guide/train the users in using the application.
To be successful in this role candidates will require:
Qualification & Experienced:
B.E./ B. Tech/ M.C.A. (only with min. 60% marks throughout & full time regular education).
3-8 years of development experience on AS/400 / iSeries, RPG/ILE, CLP, DDS.
Proven knowledge of databases ORACLE, DB2/UDB, to include solid experience of SQL.
Should have Prior experience of Product Development and/or Maintenance and support of iSeries applications.
Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
A proven understanding of industry standard software development life cycles.
Exposure to any source code management system, preferably Aldon and.
Expectations:
GFAS Experience is an added advantage.
Sybase, C++/VC++, Java development experience.
Demonstrable experience gained within the financial services industry.
Advanced knowledge of AS/400 and associated tooling to develop an application.
Understanding of quality assurance procedures, liaison with test teams and delivery of quality software.
Proven ability of working in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral – including ability to explain technical designs and issues.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the initiative to proactively resolve issues.
Proven adaptability and responsiveness.
Proven client service skills.
Self-control and resilience including the ability to work and manage effectively under pressure and respond positively to tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
Other skills:
Ability to work in different shift timings (06:00AM-02:30PM, 08:30AM-05:00PM, 02:30PM-11:00PM rotational basis) as necessary to ensure delivery timeframes are met.
