About Company:
- Global IP Services (a US law firm) is looking for a Patent Agent/Patent Engineer/Patent Analyst for its rapidly growing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) legal department located in India, Bangalore operations. This position reports to the Patent Attorneys/Patent Agents/Manager located in both US and India and will be responsible for supporting the patent prosecution related activities. Salary will be commensurate with education and skills and also eligible for company’s annual bonus program.
Qualification:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree (BE/ B.Tech/ME/ M.Tech in Electronics, Computers, Mechanical, Electrical and IT) from reputed colleges and should have graduated with first class and distinction and should be in the top 10% of the class.

- 2015
Responsibilities:
- Conducting prior art searches using search tools like Delphion and Thomson Innovation.
- Interacting with inventors at various multinational client locations and reviewing invention disclosures and assisting them in reviewing their ideas for patentability and completing the invention disclosures.
- Preparing high quality patent applications acceptable to our multinational clients for filing at the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), European Patent Office (EPO), India Patent Office (IPO), China Patent Office (CPO) and/or World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
- Preparing Responses to Office Actions (US, India, PCT and EP).
Required Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of US, India and other foreign patent prosecution laws, rules, and procedures (desired but not essential).
- Attention to detail and follow through with team attitude that no job is too big or too small.
- Willing to pitch in and support growing IPR legal department in a fast-¬paced growing environment of an Internet start-¬up.
- Ability to work in a high activity/fast paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with our clients and to draft quality documents.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Ability to handle urgent matters, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly complete the assigned tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
