Job Description : 
Major Responsibilities : 

• Support the engineering requirements to deliver CCSD Cycle Plan
• Provide support insuring all engineering requirements are part of the Purchasing Request for Quote (RFQ) process
• Evaluate supplier s product offering with respect to ability to meet necessary fit and function
• Conduct engineering analysis and write up denial or approval with engineering sign off
• Write engineering approvals in WERS as a Notice
• Work with supplier and CCSD CAD Release area to release
• 2D and 3D data as well as WERS Notices
• Partner with the Quality office representative to assess and develop our suppliers and insure that they meet our Quality and Engineering requirements and standards
• Provide engineering support for Service Parts Warranty
• Core disposition Material Cost Savings Total Value Management TVM and Complexity Reduction initiatives
• Support joint Product Development and CCSD initiatives

Technical skills : 

• Vehicle or component concern identification & analysis
• Dealer contact experience, or knowledge of dealer operations, especially in the areas of warranty policy, service repair procedures, and serviceability
• Automotive component or systems experience either in design release or manufacturing
• Overall knowledge of vehicle systems operations and mechanical light repair procedures
• Understanding and proficiency with 8D FMEA DVP R WERS AWS GCQIS

Functional skills :

• Ability to communicate with and effectively lead cross functional problem solving teams
• Ability to navigate difficult and sensitive situations and achieve positive results
• Requires a motivated and high energy person capable of managing numerous projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated computer capability especially with Microsoft Office tools Intermediate to advance experience with Excel functions and pivot tables and background in statistical data analysis would be beneficial
