JOB SUMMARY 
The DVT Engineer will be a member of a team responsible for test case generation and implementation, including test case automation and scripting. Test cases will be designed to verify system-level functional specifications for advanced telecommunications networks and services. Having wide-ranging experience, this DVT Engineer uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. This role typically works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and exercises judgment in selecting and determining methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. This role may act as a lead on some projects and guide other lower-level Engineers and Technicians.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Develop or assist in the development of automated test applications and test systems from existing test cases or general requirement documents.
Ensure that test applications, test procedures, test systems, and test cases verify system-level functional specifications for advanced telecommunications networks and services.
May work closely with design engineers to develop and automate test procedures, work closely with HW/SW developers to recreate and resolve issues found during testing, and interface with Product Qualification and System Design Verification groups.
Maintain accurate test procedure documentation.
Analyze and interpret, or assist in the analysis of test case results using debug output (CLI debug output, WireShark network traces equipment level
Debug output, etc.) to provide specific failure mechanism information to Design Engineering. Analyze or assist in the analysis of problem re-creation results using debug output to provide specific failure mechanism information to Design Engineering.
May assist in the maintenance and development of automated software stability tests (smoke tests) or other test automation related software within SDVT.
May train and guide test technicians in the performance of test cases.
May assist in managing offsite testers. Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
System testing, test plan/test case generation, general execution, development and maintenance of manual and automated test cases/procedures in System Test. Performance of manual and automated system-level tests, evaluation of results, debugging, and issue reporting/tracking and posting of results. Also responsible for assisting in automated test system design, configuration and maintenance. Good familiarity with Agile/SAFe mode of working experience is added advantages.

Requirements
Experience 10-12 Years

Education: BE/ B.Tech/ME/ M.Tech in ECE/EEE/CSE or its equivalent degree is mandatory.

Network Telecom Test and test automation development using TCL and Python using ROBOT. Should be experienced with new feature testing and automation software development process. Should be familiar with L2/L3 network device function, configuration and protocols (CLI, NETCONF, SNMP, DHCP, IGMP, LACP, IPv4, IPv6, DHCPv4/v6, PPPoE, single or double-tagged, ELAN, TLS) this includes non-functional and performance testing.
Familiarity with common industry test equipment (Spirent Test Centre/Abacus, Shinnick, N2X, and IXIA) is required. Experience in DSLAM, GPON, Next Generation Broadband Network testing that includes triple playtesting of both wired and wireless is highly desired.
Very good working skills as an Agile Scrum Master is desired.
