Position Purpose

The Senior Business Systems - QA Analyst leverages in depth product testing experience and market knowledge to make significant contributions to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and related key performance measures, driving results by improving overall quality while also enhancing testing capacity and reducing testing cycle time. The incumbent identifies improvement opportunities, framing them as proposals to team leadership, and upon receiving buy-in overseeing the execution of process improvement projects.

In addition, the role involves working on special projects related to the product launch process. Incumbent

demonstrates excellent analytical skills and innovative ideas needed to launch new Products and also demonstrates interest in gaining through knowledge of various systems and Internal/external customer facing applications.

Responsibilities :
The individual will be responsible for validating product setup using the product specifications developed by product leads, R&PD and BLMs.
There are often issues or critical inaccuracies which require the experience, knowledge and analytical power of a mature analyst to modify and coordinate appropriate measures midstream with various groups such as PLCT, Product team, CH Risk Team, EOS Trader, PRS, Engine Configuration team, BLMs and R&PD to prevent serious fallout such as rolling out inaccurate product structures or delaying business critical launches both of which can hurt our business and negatively impact our customers.
During crunch time, of which there are plenty, determining and prioritizing severity of product discrepancies that arise is key in avoiding delays and achieving business goals.
The individual is expected to make decisions related to escalation of critical product issues to a variety of stakeholders from key operational management participants across the chain to business leaders and technology managers in order to effectuate solutions, Issues with the QA files require escalation to DQT, CH and other technology and operational teams.
There are occasions when products are designed incorrectly and occasionally they make it through the process to be caught by this role, who has to uncover these issues and escalate up and down the chain including business leaders and come up with innovative solutions to prevent delays, if possible.
Many times decisions need to address the prioritization of workload, so that business critical products are appropriately prioritized with minimal negative impact to our business strategy.
There is also a variety of product specification related analytical decisions that this role can contribute significantly towards.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant proven work experience that is required for the specific job level.

Experience
Incumbent must have at least 6 to 8+ years of relevant experience
Extensive experience with Systems/functional requirement analysis and knowledge of financial services ecosystem a must
Experience in defining and executing functional test cases, with a focus on critical business/systems requirements.
Experience with reference data systems in a financial services organization, equity/derivatives exchanges a plus.
Understanding of the trade lifecycle with OTC/Exchange traded derivatives trade life cycle a plus
Experience of working with Global teams, where the candidate has lead/managed offshore QA/Support team a plus
Experience with relational data organization and SQL. Experience with JIRA requirements and bug management systems. Experience with XML, Understanding of FIX protocol is a plus

Software Requirements
Proficient and agile with Windows platform
Knowledgeable in Globex, CPC, and CME Direct applications
Familiar with FAS, Clearing Product
Understand the complexity of our entire technological framework in order to be able to diagnose problems and issues with product testing
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
