Product Manager

Location: Kochi/Bangalore

Responsibilities:

• Product and roadmap planning including monthly/quarterly release schedulesUnderstand customers’ needs and appropriately capture customer requirements and feedback
• Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
• Market and business analysis of competitive products including pricing and market share
• Analysis in conjunction with marketing opportunity, life-cycle, revenue forecasts and budgets
• Prototyping and mock-ups for engineering and marketing understanding
• Work with engineering to ensure product specifications are met
• Review and approve product functionality, interfaces and user-interfaces, and use-cases
• Project gate approvals and reviews at various mile-stones with marketing and engineering
• Work closely with the sales and marketing team to ensure success of the product in market
• Work with delivery and support to ensure customer satisfaction

Skills /Expertise Required

• Education: Master’s / Bachelor degree in Engineering (EE, EC, IC, CS)
• 8+ years work experience including minimum of 4 years in product management role
• Windows Desktop Application building experience in C#.NET, TCP/IP and serial communications
• Excellent knowledge of XML, REST APIs, encryption and authentication technologies
• Knowledge on SCADA, PLC, RTU, automation
• Knowledge on network communication and telemetry protocols such as DNP, IEC61850, IEC60870, DLMS
• Communication related projects with emphasis on IP Networking stacks
• Experience in communication stacks like serial (RS232/485), TCP/IP, I2C, SPI
• Hands on experience in protocol testing
• Preference for experience in product development over full lifecycle for at least 1 product
• UML-based requirement capturing

Skills/Expertise Highly Desirable

• PMP Certification
• Experience in agile product development model
