Atkins | Mumbai| Walk-In Drive | May 20th 2023 – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.| We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Civil and Structural Engineering Department.|

The person in this position will work closely with all disciplines (engineering, HSE, procurement, quality etc) and project management to manage design responsibilities and to resolve design related issues associated with the project.

1. Experience in structural software like ROBOT/ ETABS/ SAP/ ABAQUS/ ANSYS.
2. Experience of structural software tools (i.e., MATHCAD, IDEA STATICA, TEDDS, RAM Connection)
3. Experience in projects related to Industrial Plant/Power Plant/Oil & Gas. Mineral & Mining experience will be preferred.
4. Specialized in Dynamic & Seismic analysis of structures with soil structures interaction.
5. Experience in design of Rotary and Heavy Equipment foundation

Responsibilities:

1. To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
2. Provide project discipline leadership by directing project execution activities and discipline deliverables for projects.
3. Coordinate activities with other disciplines and clients' resident representative.
4. Prepare the proposals upon Requisition for Project of client.
5. Prepare trade-off studies and reports.
6. Prepare the engineering manhour estimate and schedule.
7. Prepare the concrete and steel structure design, and steel connection design.
8. Review the concrete rebar bending schedule and steel connection design and shop drawings.
9. Provide technical assistance to the civil/structural superintendents and craft to ensure best resolution for all parties for any technical issues arising in the field/plant.
10. Execute field take-offs from “Issued for Construction” drawings, provide input to the quantity tracking applications, and report weekly installed quantities to project controls.
11. Perform the inspection for the structural engineering activities in site/plant.
12. Provide problem resolution for structural engineering issue in site/plant.

Requirements:

1. BS/B.E or MS/M.E in Civil or Structural Engineering.
2. 15 plus years of experience in civil/structural engineering including minimum of 3 years of brown field experience working on sites/plants in a construction role or plant engineering role.
3. The mining and metallurgic projects experience would be preferred.
4. Registered as a professional engineer.
5. Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted office procedures.
6. Must have experience in design and analysis of structural concrete and structural steel.
7. Familiarity with CSA, CISC, NBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC standards and codes.
8. Proficient with Staad.pro, SAP2000, MathCAD, AutoCAD.
9. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint).
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to maintain confidential information critical.
11. Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform design engineering.
12. Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
