Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for porting system software on new or existing boards. The key tasks include customizing existing software components like bootloader, device drivers, kernel modules, filesystem etc. The candidate will also be involved in board bring-up tasks, middle-layer service implementation (display, sound, networking etc.) and GUI designing.

Education: BE/B. Tech in Electronics / Computer Science, MCA

Mandatory:

·         2+ Years of C, C++ development experience in Embedded Systems.

·         Good knowledge of hardware system and components.

·         Experience in VxWorks is a must.

·         Knowledge of porting Linux kernel to new platform.

·         Hands-on experience in customizing & building Linux kernel modules.

·         Required experience in customizing bootloader and device drivers.

·         Experience in customizing/configuring Linux services like Wayland, DirectFB, X-Server, ALSA, Open MAX, Gstreamer, Network services etc.

·         Hands-on experience in using debugging tools like GDB.

·         Proven coding skills under linux involving use of IPC’s, multi-threading, data-structures and dynamic memory allocation.

Desired:

·         Experience in RTOS is highly desirable.

·         Experience in GUI designing using QT.

·         Experience in network programming.

·         Experience in web based services and interfaces.

·         Experience in database connectivity like Sqlite and MySQL.

·         Experience in DSP/GPU programming.
