Job Title : Design Engineer / Sr. Design Engineer / Associate TL / Project Lead

Experience : 4 - 12 Years Experience in Product Design 

Domain : Mechanical 

CAD Tools : Creo 2.0 / Pro-E & Teamcenter 

Job details : Permanent

Location : Chennai

Mandatory Skills required to performing the job : 

The candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering degree (BE-Mechanical) with more than 4 years of experience in mechanical systems design / product development.

Experience in design of sheet metal / casting / plastics and large assemblies. 

Strong design background and adequate manufacturing/product development exposure, support current and new product design and development projects.

Should have very good experience in GD&T and Tolerance analysis.

Good Exposure in Welding Symbols | ASME standards.

Experience with CREO with exposure to Pro-Sheet metal, casting components, Plastic Components, Surface modeling and Large assembly handling (Good experience in any of Sheet Metal, Casting, Surface modeling is mandatory and experience in any two or all three is desired).

Shows attention to detail and exhibits high quality standards in engineering documentation.
Can interpret written specification or requirements.
Should have good communication and presentation skills.
Good Exposure in MS-Excel with Advanced formulas.

Desirable Skills: 

Experience in Agricultural and Construction equipment / Commercial Vehicles / Automotive.

Experience with sheet metal design and various fabrication methods used for sheet metal components.

Experience with Plastic design and various fabrication methods used for Plastic Parts. (Optional)

Experience with Casting design and various manufacturing methods used for Casting components. (Optional)

Experience with selection of materials and fabrication techniques for mechanical parts 

Experience with documentation standards and Engineering Change Order processes. 

Experience in interacting with vendors and suppliers to obtain information and to perform component selection. 

Skill Set in CAD Tools:

Creo2.0/Pro-E (Casting, Sheet metal, Plastics, Surface Modeling, Assembly and Drawing Creation).
Experience in PLM software like Team Center.

Qualifications: 

Graduate in Engineering, Mechanical from a reputed college or university.
Candidates with the below skill and years of experience can apply. (Preferred - Automotive / Heavy Engineering / Off Highway / Agricultural).
