Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an CAD Technician to be based in Bangalore to fill the position of an Electrical Technician / BIM Modeller to join our electrical engineering unit, forming part of a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering. The company undertakes large capital projects for various clients, across many sectors, however the primary responsibility of the Centurion team is Buildings and Industrial Projects.

Job Duties:

Preparation of Electrical equipment rooms.

Preparation of Layout for lighting, power, raceway and cable tray.

Preparation of electrical details for site plan.

Preparation of electrical layouts with DB sld.

Preparation of all kind of drawing related to electrical.

Preparation of Layout for TV, Telephone and data with conducting

Main Schematic Diagram (Design of Main LT Panel)

Distribution system planning, preparation of lighting design, lighting lux level calculations, designing of single line diagrams and Cable calculations.

Preparation of all kind of drawing related to electrical.

Hands on Experience in 3D Modelling in Revit.

Modelling of Cable trays, Lighting, Power and Fire Alarm systems working knowledge of Revit

MEP with ability

Works with CADD Manager and project engineers to communicate, problem solve, and update models for coordination and design issues.

Collaborates and communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and

common model development tasks.

Develops accurate 2D drawings from project BIMs,

Maintain and distributes project information to other team members.

Works with BIM Technicians to understand project BIM setup.

Receives little instruction on daily work and general instructions on new assignments.

Develops and distributes prints and exports for team coordination and final deliverables

Specific Skills Required:

5 years and above in MEP /Electrical Consultancy firm

AutoCAD. Revit/BIM skill and working exposure shall be preferred

Minimum Requirements

Good understanding and experience in modelling in REVIT and other BIM platforms.

Understand BIM modelling principles.

Discipline in approach to engineering.

An intimate working knowledge of REVIT.

ITI/DIPLOMA/in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication skills

Prior experience in similar projects.
