Job description

Heriot-Watt University Dubai campus is a vibrant and expanding part of Scotland’s most international University. With over 3,500 students at pre-degree, undergraduate and post graduate level, the campus has ambitious plans for growth. With this in mind, the University moved to its own purpose built campus in October 2011 which has a capacity of over 5,000 students.

The Degree Entry Programme provides an access route to undergraduate degree programmes for students seeking to gain a better understanding of UK study methods or it may be that the certificate obtained in their native country may not be accepted by Heriot-Watt University. Finally, the Degree Entry Programme will help if school leaving grades do not immediately qualify students for admission into the first year of our management, engineering, computing, psychology or fashion degrees. Given the vast array of educational systems that students come from before entering into our university, the DEP experience is an extremely valuable one in ensuring students success in their studies at Heriot-Watt.

We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher to teach English and Approaches to Learning, and join a team of dedicated professionals. You should have sound experience in teaching at senior secondary level, foundation level or undergraduate level in a multicultural environment.

Interviews will be held on 9/07/2015

Informal inquiries are welcome to Mr. Raj Sharma, Head of the Degree Entry Programme, R.Sharma@hw.ac.uk

Please note CVs/resumes are not acceptable. Please ensure you complete the appropriate application form.
