The person should be very good is architectural designs for Metro projects and should be conversant in working on REVIT software.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:
In this role, the person is responsible for deliverable quality check, mentoring, reviewing of drawing, standardization of documents, take part in seminars/forums, etc.  There is no direct reporting for this position and is a part of the Technology Organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Review of piping layout and supports for process and utilities

2.Review of Piping Material Specification

3.Review of Stress analysis of pipes

4.Review of specification, bill of quantities, bid evaluation, recommendation.

5.Ensure Quality Assurance of the designs & deliverables.

6.Co-ordination with other departments.

7.Quality checks during site visit.

8.Give input in Business development / efforts estimates / planning activities of the project.

9.Vendor drawing review.


Key Skills Required:

Candidate shall have thorough knowledge in Basic and detailed engineering of Piping engineering as below but not limited to:

• Pipeline sizing, thickness calculation, pressure drop calculations etc, Pipe material selection
• Piping stress analysis
• Pipe layout engineering, Pipe support engineering, Basic and fabrication piping isometrics
• Preparation of piping enquiry specifications, carrying out technical & commercial bid evaluations
• Vendor document reviews.
• Shall be familiar with all statutory requirements.
• The incumbent should be conversant with ASME / ASTM / IS codes. Knowledge of AUTOCAD, Caesar II, and CAE pipe, PDS / PDMS would be an added advantage.
• Experience in Piping in Chemical/Oil & Gas/Nuclear sectors.

 

Candidate shall also possess following soft skills but not limited to :

• Proven experience of independently handling  at least 3 large capacity plants as lead piping engineer
• Experience in leading a team of piping engineers of at least 10 nos. or above
• Shall be self motivated and willingness to take ownership & responsibility
• Shall have excellent problem solving capability.
• Capable to mentor and train young piping engineers.
• Experience in  working with overseas clients & projects
• Strong leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and integrity
• Shall be multi skilled and capable of handling clients and vendors
• Shall have excellent communication skill
