Software Engineer-SDET/QA

Description:

Zapr engineering has grown fast over the course of last 12-15 months. The systems developed

range from pure big data systems to ad-hoc query analysis tools to really low latency systems to

front end dashboards to mobile SDKs. Zapr Test Engineering team works to enable automated

integration testing of complex systems spanning front ends, backend and mobile apps. We

specialize in test planning, test design and test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Deeply understand the various Zapr platforms and underlying implementation

• Be a firewall for the quality of the products and platform Zapr delivers

• Mentor and manage a small team of testing engineers

• Design and develop automation testing frameworks

• Build a culture of continuous integration at Zapr

• Work with Product and Engineering to determine expected outcome of system in various

scenarios

 • Write documentation, drive best practices in testing team

Minimum Qualification

• Previous experience of at least 1- 3 years as software development in testing engineer

• Strong coding skills in any object oriented language (JAVA, C++)

• Strong scripting skills in any one language of choice (python, shell etc)

• Quick prototyping skills to mock system behaviour

• Experience in testing mobile apps and/or SDKs

• Understanding of server side technologies such as webapps etc.

• Working with UI automation frameworks such as Selenium.

• Previous experience of testing in domain of big data technologies is a plus

• Experience in leading and managing a small team is an added advantage
