Role Summary/Purpose:
As a Director of Engineering, you will lead development and test engineering functions for one or more of the Epicor software products. You will be a key member of the ITC leadership team and working on building and scaling a world-class product engineering team that is capable of developing new functionality, refactoring, helping design and implement new architecture, fixing defects and addressing customer issues.

Responsibilities:
Build and lead high performance engineering teams for one or more products.
Work with product management, engineering, professional services and customer support leaders across geographies in building competency at the ITC; delivering new product releases, sustenance engineering and customer engagements.
Adhere to the company’s software development processes, design, coding and release management standards, guidelines and processes; suggest and implement improvements.
Coach and mentor managers and other members of the product team; set and manage their performance aligned to business goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science or any related fields), MCA or equivalent.

Ideal Candidate has:
18+ years of hands on software products development experience with exposure to the following programming languages, tools and frameworks
C#, C++, Microsoft .NET platform including ASP.NET and C#
Java, J2EE
Agile/Scrum
Hands-on experience in enterprise SW product engineering; should have led multiple product releases and sustenance engineering teams.
Should have practiced Agile/Scrum based development on complex applications/products across distributed teams. Use of JIRA (or similar tools) is essential.
Should be detail-oriented with very good problem solving skills.
Schedule, organize, and complete work in accordance with deadlines and commitments.
Should be a strong leader and team player; ability to influence and work with multi-cultural teams across time zones.
Very good verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to comprehend complex scenarios and articulate in simple terms.
Ability to develop relationships with peers and senior, work in a global organizational context.
A good people leader: ability to coach and mentor team members.

Desirable skills and competencies:
Hands-on experience in SaaS based product delivery.
Hands-on experience with ERP SW for manufacturing, distribution or retail domains.
