Jr. Systems Engineers / Freshers  HostDime Technopark Trivandrum  ( Job code : JSETV012310

• Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.
• Fault finding, analysis, and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
• Proactively deploy servers ( Linux / Windows ) and maintain it.
• Required to articulate standard methodologies for implementation.
• Knowledge and expertise of OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, Nginx, etc.
• Strong grasp on configuration management tools, such as Ansible would be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with load balancing, software  firewalls, etc.
• Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Xen, KVM, Openstack, Cloudstack, HCI, VMWare, etc.
• Ability to build and monitor services on production servers.
• Knowledge of servers and switches.

Experience:  0-2 YEARS  in server administration and webhosting, datacenter services. 
- Freshers from 2020-2022 passouts can apply.

Qualification: BE/B.tech – (in CSE and IT) , ME/M.Tech ( CSE/IT), MCA with no backlogs
Certifications: RHCE, MCSE, CEH, cloud certifications would be added advantage.

Preferred skills

Technical Skills :  Operating Systems (Linux Redhat, Windows server), Server security ( patching , Optimisation )  , cloud technologies ( knowledge in Openstack, Cloudstack, Vmware, VHI, HCI like Nutanix ) , scripting languages ( knowledge in Perl, Python etc ) .
