Brief description :

We are looking to fill a full-time Data Scientist position located in Trivandrum  with 5+ years experience focussed on cutting-edge machine learning technology. The successful candidate will join our mission to experiment, develop, and prove innovative new solutions for our clients in the Healthcare, Insurance, and Financial domains.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers and subject matter experts to develop hypotheses, plan experiments, and validate findings & results.
• Research and develop algorithms to ingest data, correlate inspections, and detect consequential patterns.
• Coordinate with the product team to prove concepts through to user-facing software.
• Leverage existing back-end analysis infrastructure and tools to jump-start new projects.

Preferred skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer science, Maths, or related field.
• Experience with statistical modeling and data analysis.
• Advanced in-depth specialization and experience in data analysis techniques such as: classification, pattern recognition, clustering, feature analysis, deep learning (NLP), fuzzy matching, sentiment analysis, Persona/product detection, A/B testing, active/adaptive learning
• Knowledge of the latest NLP research literature, in particular deep learning methodology such as transformer architectures, sentiment analysis, machine translation, information extraction, NER, supervised learning, reinforcement learning and imitation learning.
• Fully understand different neural networks (LSTM, CNN, RNN, seq2seq, BERT etc.), different word embedding models and transfer learning.
• Expertise in using R or Python to manipulate large data sets and develop statistical models, with the ability to accurately determine cause and effect relationships
• Experience with python scientific computational libs (Scikit-learn, Pandas, spaCy, NLTK,MatplotLib, Statsmodels, Seaborn, Blaze, SymPy)
• Programming experience on PyTorch or TensorFlow or keras
• Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions, even in situations with non-standard problems

Strong communication skills

• Able to work independently, and some travel to our client offices
