Kalkitech is looking for an experienced Technical Support Lead to take responsibility for handling customer support cases for all our products. The individual will also have responsibility for leading the Technical Support Team.
Years of Work Experience: 6 – 9 years
Responsibilities:
- Support and resolve technical product issues working customers around the globe
- Evaluate and track technical support effectiveness with performance metrics
- Develop policies to help streamline post sales implementation efforts
- Track RMA’s and customer returns and support ticket tracking via Salesforce CRM
- Provide product demonstration support to pre-sales and business development teams
- Willing to work at customer premises, which may include substations and other customer project sites
- Willingness to install products for customers in the field; manage timely and successful implementations with proper documentation
- Willing to work during customer local time/time zone
Skills /Expertise Required
- Academic Qualifications: Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (EE, EC, IC, CS)
- Knowledge in network communications and substation automation
- C programming, Linux
- Hands on experience in protocol testing
- Working knowledge about various application protocols used in substation automation and metering, such as IEC 101, 103, 104, 61850; Modbus; DNP3; DLMS; etc.
- Communication related projects with emphasis on IP networking stacks
- 2/485), TCP/IP, I2C, SPI
- Expertise in embedded Linux and Operating System fundamentals
- Digital communications, wireless sensor networks
- Understanding of network protocols for L2 (IEEE 802.15.4, etc.), L3 (IPv4, IPv6, RPL, 6LOWPAN)
- AMR/AMI
- Good knowledge in SCADA, PLC, RTU, automation and telemetry protocols
