JOB DESCRIPTON   - SCHEDULER

ROLE    1  - Scheduler

Work Type  - Contract[6 months]

Work Location - Sydney, Australia. 
Responsibilities :

• Provide specialist Field Planning and scheduling support and management of Network field survey activities within the copper access network 
• Provide high degree of facilitation/coordination of each network walkout task assigned to State field teams which will include working closely with field workforce across Australia 
• Planning of all survey activities and delivery with filed partners to ensure no delays to customer requirements 
• Develop strong working relationships between field workforce and State managers ensuring that all process disciplines are met with high standards which will transfer to the service we provide to our customers  Key tasks include desktop field Survey planning,
• Desktop Field crew alignment , desktop job completion management , Invoice validation support and Delivery support 
• Review, analyze and collaborate with field supervisors and delivery partners in partnership  to ensure schedules are met and adhered to  Technical validation of payments claims and completion activities 
• Prepare reports and presentation on Performance and operations improvement
• Self-sufficient, capable of identifying key issues and priorities and focusing on these to deliver required results

Requirements :

• 6-10 years of Telecom experience preferably in Telecom network assurance for Operate and maintain network.
• Demonstrated approach to problem solving
• Excellent Documentation skills.
• Good knowledge in telecom end to end processes.
• Hands On build field force planning and scheduling activities.
• Understanding of Pit, Duct, Copper Joints, Very strong. Fibre Knowledge a must (FTTX, FTTB, FTTX)

Educational Qualifications:

Preferably Diploma in Electronics /Computer /Telecom

Knowledge & Experience e.g. qualifications or indicative years of experience:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in Telecommunications leadership / management position
• Strong background in networks specifically in the assurance of in a telecommunications network where access mediums consist of fibre, copper, coaxial, radio and satellite.
• Experience in initiating, designing and executing improvements copper access network
•  Demonstrated ability working cross-functionally in an organization to negotiate and achieve business outcomes in a collaborative and supportive manner.
• Strong knowledge of the copper access network – design and layout including main and distribution network, pillars and joint technique
•  Strong experience in copper access networks and field work practices along with quality standards which includes testing and joint and cable installation and maintenance techniques used in the field today;
• Highly self-motivated, with a high degree of initiative, able to exercise effective independent judgement, often under a high degree of pressure
