As a roads design engineer in COWI you will be an integrated part of COWI's international roads community. In this role, you will report to the Head of Section - Highways and Airports.
Work tasks and responsibilities:
- You will work on geometric design tasks on roads and/or airports projects,
- You will provide the technical assurance of designs and develop innovative and integrated design solutions
- You will work with a team of Engineers to carry out designing, modelling/drafting and documentation
Professional qualifications needed:
A minimum of 8 years experience in Geometric design of Roads and Highways and a Bachelors/Masters in Civil Engineering are required to work with us but you should also be able to say yes to the following:
- You have international experience with detailed designing along with experience in European and/or African and/or Middle East codes
- You have worked in multicultural teams
- You have in-depth knowledge in 3D design software (InRoads or Novapoint or Civil 3D)
- You have good skills in 2D design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD)
Personal competencies needed:
- You have excellent Communication skills in English (oral and written)
- You are solution oriented, and enjoy logical problem solving
- You are highly independent, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
- You have ability to perform under tight deadlines
