At least 3 years of architect experience in architecting large projects


Skills
Troubleshooting deep technical issues
Design for scalability and performance
Show thought-leadership on next-generation RIA systems
Sound Knowledge on latest Architecture trends, Java/J2EE Technologies, Design Patterns, Object Oriented Programming Concepts
Exposure in DataBases – Oracle, MySQL

Desirable: Exposure of Retail, Supply Chain Logistics or e-commerce domain

Key Responsibilities
Understand customers business challenges/ goals and arrive at  value added  technology solutions,  define technology direction and roadmap
Define the architecture
Design systems at the component level, makes strategic technology choices, and directly supervise the quality of designs and implementation inside and between components
Guide a team of engineers – offshore and onsite in design and code
Have mastery of relevant technologies – including proprietary languages
Ensure  industry defined best practices are followed in design and coding

Business Development
Work with sales/business development teams in identifying new business opportunities and transform to projects.

Project Delivery
Ensure design and  code quality
Work with distributed teams for delivery and execution of projects
Strong compliance to CMMI processes
